Protest over ‘enforced disappearances’
BADIN: Activists of the proscribed Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz (JSMM) along with supporters of several nationalist parties on Monday took out a rally in Matli town against ‘enforced disappearances’ and extrajudicial killing of nationalists in Sindh. The rally started from Phalkara Chowk and ended outside the local press club, where
JSMM activists Rasool Bukhsh Solangi, Mohammed Moosa Zaindpur, Mohammed Shakeel and others spoke to the participants.
They accused personnel of security agencies of abducting Sindhi nationalists, particularly youths, and subjecting them to inhuman torture. Many of the victims, they said, had been tortured to death and their bodies were being dumped on roads.
They said the agencies were creating a Balochistan-like situation in Sindh as scores of nationalists had been picked up by them and their whereabouts were not known.
They urged the local and international rights organisations to raise the issue of the ‘enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings in Sindh at all forums.

Thousands attended the funeral of Asif Panhwar held in his ancestral town Golarchi of distrit Badin. Shutter-down strike was observed in the district against the murder. The dead body was laid down covered up with the flag of Jeay Sindh and Ajrak. Nationa Anthem of Sindh was also recited. Protests were held in the various parts of Sindh against murder. Jeay Sindh Mutahida Mahaz (JSMM) has announced shutter-down strike on Sindh on November 30.
